Target SFA Suite Adopted by Santarus

Allentown, PA, August 23, 2004 - Target Software (www.targetsoftware.com) today announced Santarus, Inc.  (Nasdaq: SNTS) has licensed the Target SFA suite.  The entire Santarus field sales force will be deployed on the Target SFA platform.  Santarus sales representatives and national account managers will utilize Target Mobile Pocket Edition to plan routes, manage professional and account data, record call and sampling activity, track sales data and streamline operations with paperless electronic transactions.  District and regional sales managers will utilize the Target Mobile Web sales management tool to proactively monitor and manage sales activities.  Home office personnel will leverage Target BackOffice and its management reporting tools.

Santarus has also contracted with Ventiv Health's (Nasdaq: VTIV) Total Data Solutions? Division (TDS) to provide a variety of value-added services to assist with the Santarus Target SFA deployment, including mobile device configuration, rollout logistics and related training.  TDS will supply ongoing operational support services including help desk, hardware asset management, hosting, data warehousing, sample accountability, and management reporting.
